I bought a Sage Z-axis rod this year in a 9' 5 wt. I have fished many rods from Winston to Loomis and like the rod. I wasn't completely sold on it I have to admit. It's a great rod but I'm not sure it is worth the money compared to other less expensive rods I've fished. It's the first rod I've purchased since not having a guide license so it cost more than I've spent on a rod in a long time. Maybe I was just expecting too much. I need to get a new 6wt rod for next spring and I would like to try something I've never fished before. Anyone have any good ideas? I would love to hear some reviews.
