New bow!? Carbon Matrix or CRX

Ok I admit it, I have a problem! Is there anywhere you can go if you have an equipment addiction? Maybe I should come up with something that I can put on the Outdoor channel advertising help with the gear addiction in your life. I could see it now: "just send me $19.99 and your extra gear, and you can be gear free by the Holidays"!
So, to the point of this post. I am thinking about getting a new bow. I guess I should just say that I am getting a new bow because once I start thinking about it this much it's only a matter of time. More of what and when than if.
I've been shooting a Hoyt Alphamax 32 and it is a nice bow. I've convinced myself that a 35" axle to axle would be better for some longer range shooting. It's probably not true but I always mix a little bit of reasoning into my obsession.
I'm trying to decide between a new CRX which I shot the other night and a Carbon Matrix. I have always been a mathews guy until I bought my Alphamax and now I'm leaning towards Hoyt again. Part of that is because the Mathews Z7 is a 32" axle to axle bow so it would be hard for me to use my reasoning that I need a 35" bow if I bought a Z7.
The Carbon Matrix is sweet no doubt about it. I was really impressed and for some reason it felt even lighter in my hand than what the published weight is. I think on the 35" it's 3.8lbs. But more importantly it shot great. And this year the price is lower! Wow, those guys know how to suck me in! But it's still pretty spendy. I shot the new CRX and it shot great too. I liked the draw cycle and it was very crisp on the release. A little heavier but that also takes some of the energy out and makes it quieter and smoother. So now it comes down to which one to buy! Decisions, decisions! I would like to shoot a new Mathews but I really wasn't impressed with the Reezen. I haven't shot the Z7 so I guess they could've made up for some of the problems that I felt with the Reezen. The local shop is going to get the Mathews line so maybe I better wait.
Oh ya, but then what do I tell myself that I need about a new bow if I don't buy the 35' axle to axle?
Maybe I better start the 12 step program for my problem! Hmmm. I think I'll call my new CD on how to cure your addiction "The 12 point program". What do you think?
