I can't feel my fingers or toes!

Wow, it was a good thing the fishing was good! It was one of those days that I get in the boat and wonder what I was thinking! It was about 3* in the morning not counting the breeze. I had an invite from a couple of friends and couldn't pass it up, although I probably should have!

We floated for about a mile before I even decided to pick up my rod and take my hands out of my pockets. We caught a few while floating and then decided to just cruise to a spot we knew was holding a lot of fish. We were right! The three of us hooked up regularly for about 4 hours. I typically don't count fish (probably because I forget anyway) but a friend really wanted to see how many we caught between us. I lost count at 20 and just decided that when he asked I would just start at 20 again. Well, I lost count again and got myself in trouble. It was a lot of fun despite the cold. I get a little bored fishing like that so I actually tried to cast to a few rising fish. I had a couple of takes but wasn't able to hook up on either of them. I really like that Sage TCX, it felt great to be casting a small dry fly when I wasn't battling frozen guides. All in all it was a great day and I'm starting to get the feeling back in my fingers! I stuck myself while tying on a new bug and burried it. The funny thing was I didn't notice until I tried to cast! I thought I was snagged on my boots and it was my finger! Good thing I use barbless. It's all about self preservation!
